A Welcome Letter From Pastor Larry Nunn

The Covenant of

Bullock Creek Cowboy Church

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior; and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now, in the presences of God, angels and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into this covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

WE engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church in knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief to the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations.

We also engage to maintain family and secret devotions; to religiously educate our children; to see the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid all tattling, backbiting and excessive anger;    to abstain from the sale of, and use of, destructive drugs or intoxicating drinks as a beverage; to shun pornography; and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.

WE further engage to watch over one another in brotherly love; to remember one another in prayer; to aid one another in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and Christian courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offence, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior, to secure it without delay.

WE more over engage that when we remove from this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church where we may carry out the spirit to this covenant, and the principals of God’s word.

Proudly Presented To Bullock Creek Cowboy Church by ezchurchwebsites.com

I want to extend a special welcome to visitors and to all the people that have made Bullock Creek Cowboy Church a very special place to worship God, to assemble in God's Kingdom here on earth, and to ready our lives and souls as a living testimony to the one Living God, Jesus the Christ.

It seems like it was not so long ago that Lenard McNeely, Ken Melton, Tara Howell, my wife Shelia and I had a vision to start a Cowboy Church in our barn. We later moved from the barn to Ray and Brenda's Auction House in York, SC. God grew this small band of believers over the 159 meetings we had at the Auction house into the steady faithful we see today. In April 2014 we moved from the Auction House to the beautiful facility on Robert and Betty Singletary's property on Edgefield Road. Without the hard work of all who participated we could not have seen God's work so plainly evidenced.

I cannot fully express my gratitude without introducing the Cowboy Church Movement as a seed for this amazing ministry. In 1988 I saw an advertisement in a horse magazine for the Cowboy Church and later I met a Cowboy Church planter named Jeff Smith. It was an answer to prayer to see the vision, reaching cowboys and those who love the rural culture, come to life. Bringing the Gospel and Bluegrass Gospel Country Music to a congregation fills a void that I have long felt needs to be filled. Bullock Creek Cowboy Church is an answer to that Prayer.

Once Again, Welcome and may God Bless You! I hope you stay awhile!
